Wonderful rustic and local restaurant with really good food at surprisingly great prices. Cosy family atmosphere. Fried aubergine is a must try. They included a small pre appetizer and a little dessert for free! So happy to support a place like this. Would recommend to everyone.

Popi and her family always welcome their guests warmly in their lovingly decorated tavern and spoil them with delicious traditional dishes. I love being here and it tastes simply delicious.

It is such a special place, unbelievable! Cookers are workers and very nice people! Don't go to touristic places, just take the car and drive there. We found that tavern for chance! The bill will is like a present... We left them more!

The woman who owns the bar is a pure sunshine. She is so beautiful and polite, she always has fun with it to cook for you, give you fruit and raki. Stunning!Everytime we go to Kriti, its a MUST to stop by and enjoy the food. The taverna‘s atmosphere is like you go to your friends family for a good dinner. Inside it‘s so beautiful, everything is clean and decorated with love.The prices are very good and the food aswell.Go there, you won‘t regret it. You will love it!

We stayed with Stratos for an week in Lagolios and visited the taverna on our first day of arrival. The Food was delicious and the hospitality was such an outstanding experience so that we visited the Taverna on a daily basis. Soon we became friends with the owners and overall it felt like visiting family. We hope to come back here next year!

Run, don’t walk. Go, don’t think.A very authentic (without trying) taverna serving delicious food. It’s a little out of the way, but a short easy drive from anywhere in that region and sooooo worth it.Will happily recommend the dishes up and down the island.

If you are looking for a mix of escaping touristic places and a true traditional restaurant with high quality ingredients, a good cook, superb meals, you are at the very right place. if on top of it you are looking to meet people who have an extra soul, I believe that there is no other place like this one in Crete.
